Joyce E. Hardnett

Founder & CEO

In 2005 Joyce decided to open a Full-service day spa in the downtown Springfield area in Jacksonville, Florida, and named it Abundance Salon and Day Spa.

The salon was a multi-cultured salon that consisted of Hair, nails, facials, waxing, massage services, and spa parties for little girls.

The Springfield area at the time was an area of town that was plagued by crime and homelessness. So Joyce decided to bring something positive to the area.

Joyce noticed that when the city sponsored the Super Bowl the homeless were tucked away until all the festivities were over. Joyce decided to see how she could be a part of the solution and signed up to work with the city rescue mission located on McDuff Ave.

Joyce hired a young lady by the name of Melisssa from the Lifebuilders Program to be a receptionist in the salon.  She enjoyed working with the stylist in the salon and also started assisting with the Lil Diva Parties (Spa Parties For Little Girls). Melissa was very dependable and turned out to be a great worker.

Unfortunately, Abundance had to close its doors but Joyce did follow up with the mission and Melissa decided to go back to school to pursue a teaching degree.

Those that participate in the Lifebuilders program have a past that can cause them not to obtain work with certain employers due to background checks. Joyce prayed about it and the Lord birthed Destiny Changers.
